South Korea is a high-infrastructure base with one catch at the border. Entry is visa-free for 90 days, but you must get a K-ETA approved online before you fly. Mobile data is fast and nationwide, and autumn is the clear-air window. Korea's newer workation visa exists for longer stays, but it is not something we cover yet.

The 90-day visa-free entry is real, but the K-ETA — Korea's electronic travel authorisation — is a separate online approval you need before boarding. Treat it as a must-do, not a formality, and apply a few days ahead.
October is the safest month to visit: dry, clear and mild, after the summer jangma monsoon and before winter. Spring is beautiful but pricier and carries the yellow-dust weeks, so the timing guide is worth reading before you commit to dates.
Connectivity is among the best anywhere — travel eSIM data runs about $0.98/GB on consistently fast 5G. The three guides below cover entry, timing and connectivity in detail; confirm the current K-ETA rule with the official source before you travel.
