About Nomad Desk
Nomad Desk is an independent publication about the logistics of long stays abroad: entry rules, timing, connectivity and cost. It is written for people who need a decision, not a brochure — so every page leads with the answer, stamps the date it was checked, and says what can go wrong before it says what is good.
What we publish
Four questions per destination, and nothing padded around them: can I go(entry rules per passport), when (season, crowds, price),connected (eSIM and data), and what does it cost. Alongside the written guides we maintain an open dataset —the Visa Matrix — covering every passport against every destination, published under CC BY-SA so anyone can check our arithmetic.
How the pages are made
Entry rules are taken from the destination's own government source and dated on the page. Where two sources disagree, we say so and flag the corridor rather than pick a winner silently — the dataset counts 3,366 contested corridors, and hiding that would make the numbers look more certain than they are. Legal-editorial review of visa and residency claims is signed by adisclosed composite reviewer — an editorial standard, not a named individual practising law. We say that plainly rather than invent a credential, because a fabricated expert is worse than none on pages people plan a move around.
How it is funded
Some outbound links to eSIM and travel services are affiliate links: if you buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. They are marked rel="sponsored", routed through our own /go/ gateway, and disclosed on every page that carries one. Links to government sources, carrier documentation and competitors we earn nothing from stay direct — those are citations, not commerce.
No brand has ever changed a verdict here. Where a partner's product is the wrong choice, the page says so — the eSIM guides recommend against the regional plan on pages that would earn more from selling it.
Corrections
Rules change, and pages go stale between checks. If you find something wrong — especially an entry rule — tell us and we will fix it and re-date the page. Seecontact.
